Position Summary
The Prevention & Education Coordinator supports outreach, scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of The Blue Bench’s sexual violence prevention education programs.
This role helps expand access to prevention education by connecting with schools, youth-serving organizations, businesses, and community groups to schedule prevention and educational workshops and trainings. The Coordinator also assists with program logistics and facilitates prevention education sessions across the Denver Metro community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Outreach and Community Engagement
Conduct outreach to schools, youth-serving organizations, businesses including but not limited to alcohol-serving establishments, and community groups to schedule prevention education programs.
Maintain relationships with program partners and support ongoing collaboration.
Represent The Blue Bench professionally in community settings and outreach opportunities.
Program Coordination
Assist with coordination of prevention and education program schedules and logistics.
Maintain program calendars and support program tracking systems.
Communicate with partner organizations regarding scheduling and program preparation.
Assist with preparation and organization of educational materials.
Program Facilitation
Facilitate prevention education workshops for youth and adult audiences.
Deliver culturally responsive and trauma-informed prevention programming.
Support discussions that promote healthy relationships and community prevention strategies.
Administrative Support
Assist with collection of program attendance and evaluation data.
Maintain organized records related to prevention programming.
Collaborate with internal staff to support program implementation.
Assist with preparation, tracking, and coordination of program agreements, including contracts and memoranda of understanding (MOUs), related to prevention education programming with community partners.
Maintain organized records of partner agreements and coordinate with internal staff to ensure required documentation is completed prior to program delivery.
Collaboration with Development
Support community awareness initiatives and events that promote prevention education and organizational visibility.
Participate in outreach activities and public awareness campaigns in coordination with the Development team, including but not limited to social media support.
Compensation
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a pay rate of $25.00-$28.00/hour
